Grounded in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, our Christian Identity Framework expresses the convictions that guide the way we teach, lead, support and make decisions at Aviva.
Everything we believe about education begins with what we believe about God.
We believe every young person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent worth.
That belief shapes the way we understand relationships, growth, hope and the purpose of education.
Together, five foundational convictions guide life at Aviva.

Inherent worth
Every person has inherent worth.
We believe every young person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent value.
No circumstance, experience, behaviour or achievement can increase or diminish the worth God has already given them.
We never lose sight of the person God created each young person to be. The challenges they carry shape the support we provide but never define their worth.

Belonging
No one is meant to journey alone.
We believe God created us for relationship.
We are not made to journey through life alone, but to know and be known, care for one another and grow together in community.
We choose to know one another beyond roles, labels and first impressions, nurturing relationships where trust, care and community can grow.

Growth
Education is about becoming.
We believe God forms us over time.
Growth is not measured only by what we know or achieve, but by who we are becoming.
We commit to walking alongside each young person, knowing that growth is rarely linear and every step forward matters.

Hope
Everyone’s story is unfolding.
We believe the Christian story is one of hope.
No person’s future is determined solely by their past because God is still at work in every story.
We refuse to treat any person’s story as finished. We faithfully play our part, trusting God with the chapters still to come.

Learning opens new possibilities.
We believe learning expands understanding, develops capability and opens new possibilities.
As we grow in knowledge, skills and confidence, we are better equipped to make meaningful choices and contribute to our communities.
